Abstract

Provided is a substrate storage container that can make locking mechanisms metal-free, also make locking claws of the locking mechanisms operate smoothly and ensure sufficient sealing performance of the lid. A locking clawis comprised of a locking blockthat can move linearly in an inside-outside direction of the lid body while being held between a pair of locking mechanism guide blocks of a lidand can swing in a thickness direction of the lid body, joint barsthat are joined to an advancing/retracting barof a locking mechanism, and cam bossesthat are fitted into cam groovesof the locking mechanism guide blocks. The locking block, the joint barsand the cam bossesare formed integrally from a molding material containing resin. A depressed portion is formed in the locking block, and a resin pinis supported between both side ends of the depressed portion with a resin pressing rollerfitted on the resin pin. The cam boss has a pair of flat facetsformed on its peripheral surface. The cam grooveis formed of divided sections including: a straight linear-motion groovethat is in contact with the flat facetsto limit the swing of the locking claw; and an arcuate swinging-motion groove to allow the locking clawto swing.
