Abstract
A novel metal-based ion-selective electrode sensor for the detection of under deposit corrosions in sour media is disclosed. The sensor can be fabricated by the sequencing electrochemical polarization followed by functionalization with an organic-inorganic layer via impregnation and polymerization. The hybrid modified multifunctional sensor allows successful selective screening and monitoring of the concertation of soluble chloride ions in sour and sweet media. The sensor is portable, durable, cost-effective, and feasible for practical commercial utilizations.
