Abstract
The mechanical liquid piston slow expansion compressor () comprises a liquid cylinder () which pivots about a tilt axis () and into which a hydraulic piston () translates, which is fixedly secured to a connecting rod () connected to a crank () of a crankshaft (), the axis of rotation of which is parallel to the tilt axis (), while piston guiding means () maintain the connecting rod () and the hydraulic piston () always parallel to the liquid cylinder (), these two latter forming a variable hydraulic volume () filled with a working liquid () which communicates with a gas and liquid reservoir () in which heat exchange and accumulation means () are housed, said reservoir () and said liquid () forming a variable pneumatic volume () in which a working gas () is compressed or expanded.
