Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of a polyalkoxysiloxane base oil of formula (I) in which each R1 is independently a C1 to C4 alkyl group or a phenyl, each R2 is independently a C2 to C22 alkyl or alkenyl group or a phenyl, R3 is either a methyl group or a CHgroup connected to the other R3 group by a single bond, thus forming a ring in which the 2 terminal silicon atoms are connected by a CH—CHbridge, x is an integer between 0 and 50, y is an integer between 1 and 500 and such that the ratio y/x is strictly greater than 0.5, or of a mixture of polyalkoxysiloxane base oils of formula (I), as a lubricating agent.
