The invention relates to an apparatus and method for automatically determining the movement space of an operating automated guided vehicle and autonomously optimizing the driving behavior thereof comprising loading in dynamic production and logistics environments, comprising the following features: The automated guided vehicle, hereinafter referred to as AGV, carries cargo () by means of a lifting supporting plate (), wherein monitoring spaces () are calculated according to the velocity of the vehicle, the position and properties of the cargo (), and the direction of travel.
