Abstract

An image generation deviceprocesses content to draw an image (step S), and corrects the image as needed for display (step S). When drawing the image, the image generation deviceadjusts a tone curve according to a user operation for adjusting the brightness expressed by pixel values (step S). A head-mounted displaygenerates a drive voltage corresponding to the pixel values of image data acquired from the image generation device(step S) and drives a display panel to display the image (step S). When generating the drive voltage, the head-mounted displaydecreases the drive voltage to a ratio based on a user operation for reducing light emission brightness of the display panel (step S).
