Abstract

[Technical Problem] To perform calibration operations accurately and quickly. [Solution to Problem] A gaze detection apparatus comprises an indicator presenting unit that presents an indicator to eyes and continuously moves the indicator in accordance with a predetermined trajectory; a gaze detecting unit that detects a gaze point of the eyes; and a numerical optimization problem solving unit that solves a numerical optimization problem in order to find a correction that converts a first set of detected plurality of the gaze points into a second set that satisfies a particular condition with respect to the predetermined trajectory.
