Abstract
The present invention relates to an improved technology for a device that identifies and diagnoses an environmental stress state of plants. An environmental stress diagnosis device comprises a measurement light source, an induction light source, and a transmitted light detector. The measurement light sourceradiates a first measurement light MLand a second measurement light MLto a plant sample S, the induction light sourceradiates a first photosynthesis inducing light FR and a second photosynthesis inducing light AL to the plant sample S, and the transmitted light detectordetects a first transmitted light TLand a second transmitted light TL. The control unithas an analysis circuitand a control circuit. The analysis circuitcalculates a light absorption difference between the first transmitted light TLand the second transmitted light TL, and calculates Y(ND) which is a state in which P700 in photosystem I in photosynthesis has been oxidized as a ROS marker (a reactive oxygen species suppression index) for plants by utilizing the light absorption difference. The analysis circuitdiagnoses an environmental stress state of plants by utilizing the ROS marker.
