Abstract

Glass compositions include boron oxide (BO), lanthanum oxide (LaO), titania (TiO) and niobia (NbO) as essential components and may optionally include silica (SiO), tungsten oxide (WO), zirconia (ZrO), yttria (YO), bismuth oxide (BiO), barium oxide (BaO), TeOand other components. The glasses may be characterized by high refractive index at 587.56 nm at comparably low liquidus temperature.
