Abstract
An inverter () for an electric drivetrain (), wherein the inverter () comprises an input port () for connecting an energy source () and a charging device () connected in parallel for charging the energy source (), an output port () for connecting a multi-phase electric machine (), and a plurality of switch elements (Px,Nx) of a bridge circuit. The inverter () is configured to open the switch elements (Px,Nx) while the energy source () is being charged by the charging device ().
