Abstract

A terminal according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes: a transmitting section that transmits a random access preamble in a given cell in a case where a beam failure is detected; and a control section that assumes the same antenna port quasi-collocation parameters as ones associated with an index of a reference signal corresponding to the random access preamble for monitoring of a downlink control channel in a given control resource set, after a given period from the last symbol of first downlink control channel reception where a downlink control information format having a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a cell radio network temporary identifier (C-RNTI) and containing an uplink grant for new transmission is detected and until specific information regarding a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state of the downlink control channel is received, in a case where a beam failure recovery medium access control control element (MAC CE) is transmitted in a message 3 or a message A of a contention based random access procedure corresponding to the random access preamble. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, it is possible to appropriately update a beam in relation to BFR.
