Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may communicate, with a primary cell, one or more signals using a first beam that is associated with a first spatial direction. The UE may measure a subset of beams from a set of beams associated with a secondary cell, wherein the subset of beams is selected based at least in part on the first beam or the first spatial direction. The UE may establish a connection with the secondary cell using a second beam from the subset of beams based at least in part on the measurements of the subset of beams.
