Abstract
One embodiment provides a method, the method including: receiving, at a device validation system and utilizing a wireless communication mechanism, current state information identifying a current configuration of a device; obtaining, using the device validation system and from a data store including trusted state information for a plurality of devices, trusted state information for the device that identifies a trusted configuration of the device; identifying, using the device validation system, a modification state of the device by comparing the current state information to the trusted state information of the device; and providing, at an output component of the device validation system, a notification indicating whether the device has been modified from the trusted state information based upon the identified modification state of the device.
