Abstract
A device charging system including a battery configured to supply a type of power to at least one load device and a central charging station configured to receive the battery The central charging station including a locking mechanism configured to secure the battery to the central charging station, an output port configured to supply power to the battery, and an electronic processor. The electronic processor configured to: receive an unlock command from at least one selected from a group consisting of a remote device and a user-interface of the central charging station, and disengage the locking mechanism upon receiving the unlock command.
