Abstract

The invention relates to an ultrasonic sensor () having an improved structural dynamic for a motor vehicle (). The ultrasonic sensor () comprises: a plastic housing (), a membrane assembly () arranged in a housing opening () of the plastic housing (), the membrane assembly having an ultrasonic membrane (), and a decoupling element () which is arranged between an inner surface () of the plastic housing () and the membrane assembly (). A plurality of ribs () are formed at the inner surface () of the plastic housing (), on which the decoupling element () rests against, and the ribs () are designed in such a way that the decoupling element () does not rest against the entire inner surface () of the plastic housing ().
