Abstract
A downhole tool configured for selective fluid communication and isolation within a wellbore. The tool includes a mandrel, housing, plug. In a first mode, the tool functions as a resettable check valve to isolate a first area from a second area. In a second mode, the tool permits bidirectional flow while maintaining a one-way seal during transition. The plug and plunger are temporarily coupled by a shearable mechanism to allow repeated isolation and communication cycles, and subsequently, permanent communication between the areas. The system provides immediate casing-testing capability and eliminates reliance on dissolvable balls, allowing instant re-establishment of communication with the toe sleeve following pressure testing.
