Abstract
A signal transmission method includes: sending, by a first communication node, system information, where the system information includes configuration information of at least one physical random access channel (PRACH), a PRACH is associated with at least one synchronization signal group, and the synchronization signal group includes a plurality of synchronization signals; receiving, by the first communication node, a random access preamble sent by a second communication node according to the system information; and sending, by the first communication node, a response message for the random access preamble in a preset time window.
