Abstract

An absorbent article () can have a first body panel (), a second body panel (), and an absorbent panel () spanning between connecting the first body panel () and the second body panel (). The absorbent panel () is narrower in width than each of the first body panel () and the second body panel () and is bonded to at least one of the first body panel () and/or second body panel () with at least one bond region () having a first bond strength and at least two bond regions () having a second bond strength greater than the first bond strength. Following use of the absorbent article () by a wearer, the portion of the absorbent panel () bonded to the body panel () with weaker bond strength can be separated from the body panel (). The absorbent article () can be reconfigured from a wear configuration into a disposal configuration such that the portion of the material forming the body panel () which has been separated from the absorbent panel () can be inverted over the absorbent article ().
