Abstract

A user interface, which includes a device for optically detecting the presence and position of an object in a detection zone, includes a lighting means for illuminating the detection zone. A linear detection strip is oriented toward the detection zone. The linear detection strip includes a row of photosensors that are configured to measure the light intensity of the light emitted by the lighting means. The sensitivity to light of each photosensor is weighted depending on the position of the photosensor along the row of photosensors.
