Abstract

The method includes: sending, by a terminal device, indication information to a network device, where the indication information is used to indicate an additional out-of-band radiation requirement supported by the terminal device (). By sending the indication information from the terminal device to the network device, the network device can determine the additional out-of-band radiation requirement supported by the terminal device, so as to configure a reasonable cell to the terminal device, and avoid a problem of a cell access failure when the terminal device does not support the additional out-of-band radiation requirement.
