Abstract

The information processing system includes a server and an electronic device. The electronic device includes a communicating unit; a position detector detecting a position; an information acquiring unit acquiring position information for each of a plurality of other electronic devices and error information that indicates an error in the position information; a determining unit determining whether the electronic device is surrounded by the plurality of other electronic devices, and determining whether the electronic device is in a specific state; and a transmission control unit transmitting correction information that includes the position and the position information to the server when the electronic device is determined to be surrounded by the plurality of other electronic devices and to be in the specific state. The server corrects the position of the electronic device based on the correction information.
