Abstract
A propulsion apparatus for watercraft, including a propulsion motor (M) supported by an upper case (), a lower case () supported by the upper case so as to be rotatable around a steering axis, and rotatably supporting a drive shaft () for transmitting power from the propulsion motor to a propulsion device (), a steering motor () received in the upper case, and a steering reduction gear mechanism () received in the upper case, wherein an output end () of the steering reduction gear mechanism or a part of a path of steering power transmission from the output end to the lower case is provided with a manual engagement member () which is configured to be engaged by a turning tool for manually turning the output end of the steering reduction gear mechanism.
