Abstract
Provided is a virtual image display apparatus including a display device configured to emit an imaging light; a first mirror configured to reflect the imaging light from the display device; a refractive reflective optical member including a mirror portion configured to reflect the imaging light reflected by the first mirror; and a second mirror configured to reflect the imaging light reflected by the mirror portion toward a position of an exit pupil, wherein a distance from the display device to the first mirror is shorter than a distance from the position of the exit pupil to the second mirror; and a first angle θ formed by the imaging light incident on the second mirror and the imaging light reflected by the second mirror is greater than° and° or less.
