Disclosed is the compound vitamin Dphosphate and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compound and methods for preparing the compound. Also disclosed are methods of treating vitamin D deficiency using the compound. The compound is particularly suitable for transdermal delivery.
