Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for the production and recovery of a bio-surfactant extract fromsp. MCC0156. Further, the present invention relates to a thermostable bio-surfactant extract consisting of 1-Pentanonacontene and 3-hydroxy-16-methylheptadecanoic acid with excellent emulsification and oil displacement activity for applications in agriculture and oil recovery.
