Abstract
A method of operating a user equipment (UE), the UE being included in a communications network, the communications network further including a base station, includes determining, by the UE, a wide channel; determining, by the UE, at least one sub-channel within the wide channel, a channel bandwidth (BW) of the at least one sub-channel being a first BW (S); receiving a configuration of at least one DL or UL carrier, a channel BW of the at least one carrier being a second BW (S); determining a first and last usable physical resource block (PRB) of the at least one sub-channel based on the first BW and the second BW (S, S); and performing at least one of transmitting data to, or receiving data from, the base station via the at least one DL carrier or UL carrier, using the at least one sub-channel.
