Abstract

A system and method for providing access to a virtual cloud desktop by a client device is disclosed. The requirements of a logical desktop are determined. Virtual desktops and associated cloud resources meeting the requirements of the logical desktop are determined. Each of the virtual desktops and cloud resources are associated with a cloud region. The virtual desktops that meet the requirements are prioritized. A request is received from the user for the logical desktop. The highest priority virtual desktop is selected. The selected virtual desktop is made accessible to the client device.
