Abstract
To provide a glass composition for glass fiber that includes biosolubility, can achieve long fiber formation, and can provide a glass filament with sufficiently high strength even when exposed to water and a high temperature and high humidity environment. The glass composition for glass fiber of the present invention includes 35.00 to 50.00% by mass of SiO, 12.00 to 28.00% by mass of AlO, 10.00 to 25.00% by mass of BO, 2.00 to 18.00% by mass of MgO, and 5.00 to 25.00% by mass of CaO, with respect to the total amount, and the total content of MgO and CaO is 17.09 to 30.00% by mass and MgO/CaO is 0.29 to 1.92.
