Abstract

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a measurement report based at least in part on a set of measurements of one or more reference signals received using a set of candidate beams; transmit a negative acknowledgement for a downlink transmission scheduled for one or more beams of the set of candidate beams; and monitor one or more new beams of the set of candidate beams for a retransmission of the downlink transmission.
