Abstract
An apparatus for selective network termination comprises a processor, an electrical terminal for connecting the apparatus to a CAN bus, a CAN bus interface electrically connected to the processor and to the electrical terminal, and a network termination resistor. A relay is configured to selectively connect the electrical terminal to the network termination resistor. The relay is electronically controlled by executing computer program instructions in the processor. The processor is configured to communicate on the CAN bus through the CAN bus interface.
