Abstract
Provided is a bearing attachment structure for attaching a bearingthat supports a rotary shaftinserted into a housing. The bearing attachment structure includes a bearing caseincluding a base portionhaving a substantially cylindrical shape and a flange portionformed to spread outward from one end portion of the base portionin the axial direction. The bearingis installed in the bearing case. The bearing caseis disposed by aligning the flange portionwith respect to the housing, and the bearing caseis welded to the housing at the flange portion. This can greatly reduce damage to a bearing caused by welding heat and reliably prevent breakage of the bearing, deterioration of lubricant on the bearing, and a reduction in service life of the bearing.
