Abstract
Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for encoding and decoding video data. Techniques are disclosed for encoding a video block, including dividing the video block into coding units and grouping the coding units into at least one group, the grouping comprises associating an indication with each of the coding units that indicates whether a shared coding information is to be used in the encoding of the respective coding unit. Techniques are also disclosed for decoding the video block, including obtaining from a bitstream the coding units and their respective indications. For a coding unit that is associated with an indication that the shared coding information is to be used, the decoding is performed based on the shared coding information; otherwise, the decoding is performed based on coding information parsed from the bitstream.
