Abstract
An ultrasonic transducer () including: a plurality of vibrators (); and a connection portion () connecting the vibrators () to each other. Each of the vibrators () has a piezoelectric element () and a vibration plate () joined to the piezoelectric element (). The connection portion () connects the vibration plates () to each other. A width (W) of the connection portion () is smaller than a width (W) of the vibration plate (). In this configuration, the relative positional relationship among the vibrators () is easily stabilized.
