Abstract
To provide an apparatus and a method that unfailingly perform virtual item ownership transfer processing. A data processing unit that executes display control of an AR image in which a real object and virtual content are superimposed and displayed is provided. The data processing unit executes display control of a virtual item whose ownership is registered and a virtual item trade box for transferring the ownership of the virtual item, and moreover, in a case where delivery of the virtual item is executed in the virtual item trade box, transfers the ownership of the virtual item. When the virtual item providing uses opens the hand in a state where the user's hand is in the virtual item trade box, the virtual item is moved to the hand side of the virtual item receiving user, and the ownership transfer registration processing or the like is performed.
