Abstract

A fixing device for an article attaching member that makes it possible to fix with sufficient strength an article attaching member, to which a desired article or articles is/are capable of being attached, to a fragile wall surface made of gypsum board or the like by easy work, is provided. In a state where a first engaging portionand a second engaging portionare contacted with a wall surfacenailsinserted respectively through guide holesandof the first and second engaging portionsandare pushed into the wall surfacethereby engaging the first and second engaging portionsandwith the wall surfaceAn engaged portionof an article attaching memberis inserted into a space S formed by an engagement walland the first and second side wallsandand the engaged portionof the memberreceived in the space S is engaged with the engagement wallthereby fixing the memberto the wall surfaceat a desired location. It is preferred that the engaged portionand the engagement wallare connected together using a connecting means (for example, a screw member, a nail or pin, a glue, an adhesive, a magnet, etc.).
