Abstract

A display system includes a processor that acquires a current location of an own vehicle, generates a virtual environment image showing a surrounding environment of the own vehicle based on a current location of the own vehicle and map information, extracts a participant video image, the participant video image being a video image portion of a traffic participant from the real environment video image, determines the presence of an intention to turn of a driver of the own vehicle, and generates and displays on a display device a composite image by inlaying the participant video image into the virtual environment image at a corresponding position.
