Abstract

According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprises at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to: receive, from a network, a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message including information about at least one bandwidth part (BWP) available to the electronic device, perform communication with the network using a first BWP among the at least one BWP, control the electronic device to transmit, to the network, a message requesting to change a BWP being used by the electronic device, based on identifying an event set for a change in BWP, receive, from the network, a downlink control indicator (DCI) indicating a change from the first BWP to a second BWP included in the at least one BWP, and perform communication with the network using the second BWP, based on the reception of the DCI.
