Abstract

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for sidelink data packet acknowledgment. One method () includes receiving () an indicator in sidelink control information. The method () includes comparing () a current value of the indicator to a last known value of the indicator. The method () includes, in response to the current value not matching the last known value: flushing () a soft buffer; transferring a data packet corresponding to the indicator into the soft buffer; attempting to decode the data packet; in response to successfully decoding the data packet, performing an acknowledgment action; and, in response to unsuccessfully decoding the data packet, performing a non-acknowledgment action.
