Abstract
A liquid crystal apparatus includes a first electrode disposed between a first substrate and a liquid crystal layer, a second electrode disposed between a second substrate and the liquid crystal layer, an electrode lead line electrically coupled to the first electrode, a plurality of drive signal lines including a first drive signal line that intersects with the electrode lead line in plan view, a first conductive layer disposed between the electrode lead line and the first drive signal line and electrically coupled to the second electrode, and a measurement circuit, and the measurement circuit supplies a potential to each of the first electrode and the second electrode in a first period and a second period, and stops the supply of the potential to the first electrode and supplies the same potential as that in the second period to the second electrode in a third period.
