Abstract
A light emitting diode, LED, filament (), configured to emit LED filament light, comprising an array of a plurality of light emitting diodes (), LEDs, configured to emit LED light, a carrier () arranged to support the plurality of LEDs, at least one heat sink () arranged in thermal connection with the carrier for a dissipation of heat from the plurality of LEDs during operation, wherein the at least one heat sink comprises a base portion () extending parallel to the carrier, and a plurality of fins () projecting from the base portion, and an encapsulant () comprising a translucent material, wherein the encapsulant at least partially encloses the plurality of LEDs, the carrier and the at least one heat sink.
