Abstract
The processor of the driving support device satisfies the second condition for determining that the driver of the own vehicle was paying attention to the area in front of the own vehicle at the time the first condition for determining that the preceding vehicle has started is satisfied. If not, the notification device is controlled to present predetermined first information to the driver, and after presenting the first information, the switch device is operated without the second condition being satisfied. If it is detected that the notification device has been activated, the notification device is controlled to present second information to the driver, and after presenting the second information, the switch device is operated without the second condition being satisfied. When it is detected that the host vehicle has been moved, the host vehicle is controlled so that the host vehicle starts in a predetermined first mode.
