Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a communication technique and a system therefor, the communication technique for merging, with an IoT technology, a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate since a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). The present disclosure can be applied to an intelligent service (for example, a smart home, a smart building, a smart city, a smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, a retail business, a security and safety-related service, and the like) on the basis of a 5G communication technology and an IoT-related technology. According to various embodiments of the present invention, a method and apparatus for handling an integrity verification failure in a system for supporting high-reliability, low-latency service can be provided.
