Abstract

A network controller () for granting a device and/or an application () access rights to at least one device of a set of devices () is disclosed. The set of devices () comprises a controllable device () and a control device (), wherein the control device () comprises a user input element () configured to receive a user input, and wherein the control device () is configured to generate an input signal () based on the received user input. The network controller () comprises a communication unit () configured to receive an access request signal () from the device and/or the application (), and to receive the input signal () from the control device (), and a processor () configured to switch, upon receipt of the access request signal (), the network controller () from a control mode to a configuration mode, wherein the processor () is configured to control, if the network controller () is in the control mode, the controllable device () based on the input signal (), wherein the processor () is configured to grant, if the network controller () is in the configuration mode, the access rights to the device and/or the application () upon receipt of the input signal ().
