Abstract

A supporting body is provided that is able to select a form of support to a display unit in accordance with a user's purpose or preference, an installation environment, or the like. The supporting body supports a display unit including a display section, a first mounting section, and a second mounting section to cause the display unit to stand on a placement surface in a first direction. The display section has a display surface that spreads in each of the first direction and a second direction, and the first mounting section and the second mounting section are disposed side by side in the first direction. The supporting body includes a first supporting unit that is formed detachably on the first mounting section, and a second supporting unit that is formed detachably on the second mounting section.
