Abstract
Child safety seat () for a vehicle () comprising a frame () shaped so as to accommodate a child () in a child area (), the frame () comprising a sitting portion (A), a backrest portion (B) and side portions (C); at least one impact absorbing assembly () connected to the frame () and comprising: a deformable polymeric layer (); at least one honeycomb cellular insert () associated with the deformable polymeric layer (). The at least one honeycomb cellular insert () comprises a plurality of open cells () having longitudinal axes (L) extending out of an inner/outer surface of the frame (), said cells () being configured to absorb energy by plastic deformation in response to a longitudinal compressive load applied to said cells (); and the deformable polymeric layer () is shaped so as to contain the at least one honeycomb cellular insert ().
