Abstract
Provided are an imaging device, an imaging method, and a program capable of changing assignment of functions to a plurality of operation units according to a use environment of the imaging device. An imaging device () includes: a plurality of operation units () provided on a plurality of surfaces of a device main body (), respectively, and capable of being assigned functions; a memory () that stores assignment information indicating a relationship between a use environment and assignment of the functions to the plurality of operation units (); and a processor (), in which the processor () performs use environment determination processing of determining the use environment of the imaging device, and assignment setting processing of setting the assignment of the functions to the plurality of operation units on the basis of the assignment information of the memory, according to a result of the use environment determination processing.
