Abstract

A power transmitting apparatus () that transmits power wirelessly using a time-division method to a plurality of power receiving apparatuses () derives a plurality of pieces of data of power loss between the power transmitting apparatus () and the plurality of power receiving apparatuses () on a basis of a plurality of reception power values received from the plurality of power receiving apparatuses (); and detects a foreign object within a power-transmittal range of the power transmitting apparatus () on a basis of the plurality of pieces of data of power loss.
