Abstract
A device for storing a sheet pile in a converting machine () comprises a transfer mechanism () for delivering sheets () into a piling area () of the device (), and a sampling plate () which is adjustable between a sampling position and an access position, wherein the top of the piling area () is covered by the sampling plate () when the sampling plate () is in the sampling position and the top of the piling area () is free when the sampling plate () is in the access position.
