Abstract
The present invention relates to a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma reactor for the preparation of Chydrocarbons from methane, wherein the DBD plasma reactor comprises macroporous silica, as a dielectric material, and optionally a photocatalyst that is impregnated into the pores of the macroporous silica.
