Abstract

Safety markers are used to monitor the security situation surrounding a construction site. A position data set indicates a current position of a safety marker. A reference image data set indicates an initial state of the security situation, and a control image data set indicates a current state of the security situation. The position data set, the reference image data set and the control image data set are transmitted to a central processing unit. A correction data set is determined by evaluating the reference image data set and the control image data set. The position data set is corrected using the correction data set to generate a corrected position data set. The current position of the safety marker as indicated by the corrected position data set is compared to a target position of the safety marker. An alarm signal is generated if the current position deviates from the target position.
